I can’t even believe it myself, but I did not even put up ANY Christmas decor at our house this year. Truth be told, our house is in complete disarray with rearranging a couple of things in our home to make room for my new Peloton — Merry Christmas to me! 🙂 That is a whole other story, but let’s just say we have stuff strung everywhere, so adding more Christmas decor to the chaos just wasn’t something that was going to do. So, I figured I might as well decorate the barn a bit, cause I could never fully go without the glow of lights from a Christmas tree during the holiday season.
I don’t know that the barn will ever be the ‘Instagram worthy’ image that has Christmas decor covering every inch, but my goal is to add something new each year to help fill the space. This year I bought a tree for the barn, ornaments to fill it and garlands to drape from the staircase. Everything else were items I stole from home this year. And one of those spaces I filled from things I stole from home is a cozy little corner in the loft that isn’t overly decorated but still oh so cute.
Truthfully, the barn is still pretty bare bones, but I am not really someone who wants to buy stuff just to buy it. I hope to continually add things as I can and while it will probably take 10+ years to do so, one day it will probably be just how I want it. 😉 But, this little corner is a fun little space in the loft that has turned out pretty cute for the holidays. Gold Metal Bells (set of 3): I found these on Amazon and they are so pretty in person! Great size and the ‘bell’ is wooden on the inside.
Rustic Metal Snowflakes: These are from another small shop and maker friend of mine! She has a variety of items she cuts out of metal and does custom work as well, so definitely check out her shop on Etsy or send her a message on Instagram if you have any special requests!
Snowy Garland: Truth be told, I bought this years ago at a local home decor store, so I can’t link the exact item, but I found this on Amazon and it is pretty similar.

It’s not a lot, but nonetheless a cute little corner that I find to be super cozy and hope to continually add to as the years go on. And maybe it gives you the smallest inspiration if you are needing it to finish up a space of your own.
